Social-emotional learning and why it matters for students

These days, despite their abilities, efforts, and grades, children confront a variety of difficulties and problems that make it difficult for them to feel included and appreciated. We are entitled to be intolerant if we are unaware of the needs of others, but via SEL, we can acquire tolerance, which creates space for respect and acceptance.

• Self-Management: Another talent that enables prompt action and motivates us to overcome setbacks is the ability to control our emotions and recognise when to take a step back.

• Making responsible decisions: This ability can literally save your life in a variety of situations. A life skill is an ability to assess risks, act in the best interests of all, take into account all relevant elements, and weigh all possible outcomes. Making decisions fosters personal accountability, which is a fantastic benefit.
